Jay-Z‘s new album “Magna Carta Holy Grail” has sold around 527,000 copies in its first week and will debut at the top spot on Billboard 200.
Although the album was released on July 7 with Samsung buying and giving 1 million copies to Galaxy phone users, the rapper still managed to sell half-a-mill, making it the 2nd biggest sales week for an album this year. (JT’s 20/20 was first with 968k units)
And with the success of his 12th studio album, Jay will be hitting Europe this fall for a tour – it kicks off October 3 at Manchester Arena. Check out the dates here.
Jay is currently on the ”Legends of Summer tour” with Justin Timberlake.
